BDC Uniform Requirements

The students of BDC must wear proper dance attire to his/her/their respective classes. This is considered their uniform and is an important part of their dance education and their progress as a student and team member.

When students are properly dressed for class:

• It sets the tone and standard for their level of learning.

• Teachers can provide accurate corrections and guidance when working on technique, posture and placement.  

• Choreographers get a better visual when all dancers are dressed alike and in the same color. This helps with creating and preparing choreography.

• Students learn better and faster when they are dressed appropriately. Less distraction and more focus = progress!

• They attend class feeling confident and ready to learn.  

• They can adapt to various styles of dance based on the dress code for each class.

• They have a better understanding for dance history and the people who influenced the arts.

Whether your dancer is in the Recreational or Company division, all students will be required to follow our dress code and uniform requirements.  Please check in with your child a few days before his/her/their class to ensure their uniform is clean and ready for class.  Consider buying multiple items if your child is taking more than one class or attends multiple evenings.
